Illegal manual slaughtering of animals in different parts of thecity is likely to continue for some more time. Senior officials claim that efforts are on to finish Amberpetabattoir by July end and the ongoing works include the mainbuilding, electrification, sewer lines, overhead tank,commissioning the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) while someindigenous equipment is under fabrication in Noida. For the one at New Bhoiguda, they have put the September deadlinewith the same kind of works underway. For Gowlipura too thedeadline is September, but here work has just begun for the sumpand overhead tank as well as the ETP. Though the August timeline has been fixed for the Ramnaspuraproject, it is unlikely to be completed since some of the civilworks like the sump, overhead [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] tank and ETP are hit by sandshortage.
The dry rendering plant too is scheduled for completionin August. Here, civil works are in various stages of progress butthe ETP machinery is yet to be received.
